Children are a vital part of our community at RBCC UCC. Children bring a fresh sense of wonder and awe, disruption and creativity, love and caring into our midst — and we celebrate that!  Jesus welcomed the children, invited them into relationship and blessed them.  We seek to do the same for the children and youth we encounter every Sunday morning.

Children's Faith Formation

We hope to create opportunities for children to explore meaning and mystery in the Bible, engage in ministries of love and justice; and grow in an inclusive community of faith led and shaped by the Holy Spirit.

This begins with our Children’s Message during worship, when the children come forward to hear and discover more about God’s active presence in our lives. After the Children’s Message, all children preschool through High School are invited to join age appropriate Faith Formation groups/classes.

Curriculum

We use Seasons of the Spirit, an ecumenical curriculum that follows the lectionary which is the thread that connects our worship and learning.  We celebrate Jesus’ love through learning, worship and service. In our Faith Formation groups we pray, sing, read, question, create and celebrate God's love together.

• Sunday Worship 10:00 am - Everyone starts in the sanctuary.
• After the Children’s Message:
  • Faith Formation groups/classes for preschool through High School.
  • We have worship activity bags for young children wishing to stay in the worship service.
• All children are invited to share in Communion.
• Everyone is invited to Fellowship downstairs, after the worship service.
