Children are a vital part of our community at RBCC UCC. Children bring a fresh sense of wonder and awe, disruption and creativity, love and caring into our midst — and we celebrate that!  Jesus welcomed the children, invited them into relationship and blessed them.  We seek to do the same for the children and youth we encounter every Sunday morning.

Children's Faith Formation Programming

We hope to create opportunities for children to explore meaning and mystery in the Bible, engage in ministries of love and justice; and grow in an inclusive community of faith led and shaped by the Holy Spirit.

This begins with our Children’s Message during worship, when the children come forward to hear and discover more about God’s active presence in our lives. After the Children’s Message, all children preschool through 8^th grade are invited to join us for Sunday school classes.

Curriculum

We use Seasons of the Spirit, an ecumenical curriculum that follows the lectionary which is the thread that connects our worship and learning in Sunday school.  We celebrate Jesus’ love through learning, worship and service. In Sunday school we pray, sing, read, question, create and celebrate together.

Come join us as we learn together what it means to be a part of God’s community no matter what our age or where we are on our faith journey:

• Sunday Worship 10:00 am - Everyone starts in the sanctuary.
• After the Children’s Message:
  • Sunday school classes for preschool through 8^th grade.
  • Teens share in the worship service together.
• All children are welcome to return for Communion.
• Everyone is invited to Fellowship downstairs, after the worship service.
