Interim Minister
I’m an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and am loving my work as Interim Minister at RBCC UCC. I find transition times in the life of a congregation exciting, full of possibilities and opportunities for creativity. Interim ministry is my specialty, and I’ve served in that capacity for eight congregations of four Protestant denominations. In between positions, I work as a consultant with congregations, mediating, facilitating, and equipping laity and clergy with tools for ministry. I was born in Seattle, lived many years in the Midwest and California, and finally returned to the place in the world I love most. I can’t get enough of the Northwest. It’s a perfect setting for some of my favorite activities -- hiking, kayaking, and gathering with friends and family for celebrations, which whenever possible includes my two grown daughters, Julie, who lives in Port Townsend, and Lisa, who lives in Boonville, California.

Staci SchulmerichDirector of Faith Formation for Children and Youth |
I am blessed to have deep roots in Richmond Beach Congregational United Church of Christ. I grew up in Shoreline, WA and have been part of the RBCC UCC community since I was a child.
After Graduating from Shorewood High School, I attended Seattle Pacific University majoring in Child Psychology with an emphasis in Social Service. I am currently working toward completing a certificate in Youth and Theology through Princeton Theological Seminary.
I am passionate about engaging children and youth in making discoveries about the mystery that is God. Finding ways to create opportunities to experience moments of awe and wonder, as we all seek to find our place in God’s story is one of my sincerest desires.
I love dancing, cooking, and playing with my family. I am thankful to have an incredible network of friends and family who support me; including my husband Jamie and our children Parker and Madison.
Keep up with Staci on her blog, "According to Staci"
