Outreach Committee: Spring Diaper Drive

Please join us in collecting diapers for families in need, now through May 5th. All sizes are needed, with emphasis on sizes 4 and 5. The cost of living has significantly increased, leaving it difficult for many families to meet needs.

Donations can be dropped off to the church office Monday - Friday, between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm, or on Sundays in the narthex in the marked donation boxes.

Please contact the church office with questions: office@rbccucc.org / (206) 542-7477

Wanting to celebrate the Players' forty years, we are excited to offer a Recital on Mother's Day Sunday, May 12th. Join us for an afternoon of Gilbert & Sullivan, featuring several of our RBCC Players who will perform selections from HMS Pinafore, Pirates of Penzance, and Trial by Jury.

Adults - $20/ Seniors 65+ and Under 18 - $10

This fun, upbeat, holiday production pokes fun at a local troupe of actors amidst a plague during the 1600s, in the tiny English village of "Little Moldingham-on-Cheese". The troupe reaches out to Shakespeare, asking him to write them a play, as they've lost their scripts in a recent fire. As the letter reaches the famous playwright, the "Plague Doctor" and "Royal Herald" arrive to announce that all people must stand 6 feet apart and all entertainment is canceled. The stage manager’s quick thinking finds a loophole that will have the audience laughing from start to finish.

We all know what it means to be in water either in a pool, the ocean, our favorite lake, or even a bathtub. Water helps us remember that life and time are fluid and how we move through it determines our release into the balance of life. We can jump, dive, backflip, or cannonball into our lives. When we are in doubt, we can turn on our backs, float for a while and catch our breath.  So, pack your gym bag, bring your goggles for looking at things in a new light and join us for a retreat together.

  • We will test the waters through a bit of preparation for the weekend

  • We will learn strategies on how to successfully struggle against the tides of life

  • We will explore how to relax and go with the flow

  • We will learn how to just float, with the support of each other

  •  We will splash a lot and have some fun

  • And we will make plans for jumping back into the “deep end” as we return to our everyday routine.

“ When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you”   Isaiah 43:2
